Recognizing the reach of mobile technology, the Social Welfare Department has launched a new WhatsApp community channel titled “ICDS: Hamare Bacche, Hamara Pariwar”. The channel aims to bridge the gap between the government and families by delivering essential information on nutrition, brain development, and early education directly to parents’ smartphones.
The initiative focuses on the scientific fact that 85% of brain development occurs before the age of six. By utilizing this digital platform, the state hopes to empower parents to become active participants in their children’s growth through “play-based learning” and by reducing harmful screen time.
As part of the ceremony, children who completed their pre-school education at Anganwadi centers were awarded “Vidyarambh Certificates”. These certificates symbolize the formal transition of these students into their academic journeys, reinforcing the message that the first six years are “unparalleled” for both nutrition and studies.
