Students across Bihar are facing increasing difficulties due to delays in fund disbursement under the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. Concerned over the situation, several students have written to the Chief Minister seeking immediate intervention.
According to students, the scheme serves as a crucial financial support system, especially for middle-class and economically weaker students pursuing higher education. However, the delay in payments is disrupting their academic progress.
In their letter, students highlighted that many colleges and universities are pressuring them to deposit fees on time. Due to the pending loan disbursement, students are unable to meet these deadlines, leading to stress and uncertainty regarding their continuation of studies.
They also stated that the situation is causing mental pressure, as institutions are not providing flexibility despite knowing about the scheme delays. Students have urged the concerned department to release the pending amount at the earliest and ensure timely disbursement going forward.
The appeal calls for immediate administrative action so that students do not face further academic and financial hardship.
