New Delhi, July 21, 2025 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results for the UGC-NET June 2025 examination, a significant milestone for candidates aspiring for academic and research positions across India. The examination, conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode, covered 85 subjects and was held from June 30 to July 29, 2025, across 285 cities in 10 shifts, accommodating a total of 10,19,761 registered candidates.

Examination and Candidate Statistics

The UGC-NET June 2025 saw a diverse participation, with 67.54% female candidates, 42.02% male candidates, and 10.01% third-gender candidates, reflecting the inclusive reach of the examination. Out of the total registered candidates, 67,554 successfully qualified. Among them, 4,369 candidates qualified for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions, while 64,885 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor roles and admission to Ph.D. programs. Additionally, 28,179 candidates qualified exclusively for Ph.D. programs.

Result Declaration Process

The NTA released the provisional answer keys and recorded responses on its official website, https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/, from July 6 to August 6, 2025, allowing candidates to raise challenges. The final results, processed based on expert-verified answer keys, were announced today, July 21, 2025. Candidates can now access their scorecards by logging into the official NTA website.

The NTA has advised candidates to verify eligibility criteria, self-declarations, and other documents, which are available on the UGC-NET website starting July 6, 2025. The agency emphasized that it is not responsible for the accuracy or authenticity of information provided by candidates during registration.

Candidates can view, download, and print their scorecards directly from https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/. For further inquiries, the NTA can be contacted via telephone at 011-40705050 or through the official WhatsApp channel and email provided on the website.
