Patna’s students shine bright in the 2026 CISCE exams

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) results for 2026 on Thursday, showcasing a stellar academic performance across Patna. Continuing the trend of recent years, female students have dominated the overall pass percentages, though male students offered fierce competition in the Science stream.

​Performance at a Glance

​The city recorded impressive pass rates, with girls leading the charge:

​Class 10 (ICSE): 99.52% pass rate for girls.

​Class 12 (ISC): 98.83% pass rate for girls.

​While girls maintained a stronghold in Commerce and Arts, the Science stream saw a neck-and-neck race, with boys securing top-tier percentages across various prominent schools.

​The City’s Wall of Fame

​Several students touched the pinnacle of academic success this year:

​Divya Prakash (St. Xavier’s High School): Topped the city with a staggering 99% in Class 10.

​Raunit Raj (St. Paul’s Academy): Matched the top score with 99% in Class 10.

​Nidhi (St. Joseph’s Convent): Secured the top spot in Class 12 with 98% marks.

​Prem Kumar: Achieved 98.6% in Class 10, scoring a perfect 100 in Mathematics, Science, and Computers.

​School-Wise Highlights

​Don Bosco Academy: Maintained its legacy with a 100% result. Ansh Anand and Anshul Mishra jointly topped the school with 98.8%.

​St. Joseph’s Convent High School: Aside from Nidhi’s success, Ayushi Kumari (96.5%) and Umbit Raj (98.4%) stood out as top performers.

​Carmel High School: Principal Sister M. Reema announced that Satakshi (98.2%) and Meghna Agnihotri (97.8%) led the school’s Class 10 batch.

​Loyola High School: Celebrated a 100% pass rate, with Sameer Shaktiveer topping at 98%.

​Future Aspirations

​Beyond the numbers, the students’ stories are equally inspiring. Prem Kumar expressed his desire to become a Data Scientist, while Mudha Shandilya (95%) of Carmel High looks forward to a career in Architecture. Ambalika Prasad (91%), a national-level swimmer, proved that excellence in sports and academics can go hand-in-hand.
