Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced a re-examination for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 Paper-II for a limited number of candidates who were affected due to disruptions at select examination centres in Bihar.
Why the Re-Exam Is Being Held
The CTET Paper-II, conducted earlier in February 2026, could not be held at two examination centres in Vaishali (Hajipur) district because of administrative and logistical issues. As a result, several candidates were unable to appear for the exam, prompting CBSE to schedule a fresh test for those affected.
Re-Exam Date and Eligibility
According to the board’s notification, the CTET 2026 Paper-II re-exam will be conducted on March 1, 2026.
Only candidates who were originally allotted the affected centres will be eligible to appear. No fresh candidates or centre changes will be allowed.
Revised Admit Cards
CBSE has confirmed that new/revised admit cards will be issued for the eligible candidates. Aspirants are advised to:
- Visit the official CTET website (ctet.nic.in)
- Log in using their application number and date of birth
- Download and print the revised admit card, which will be mandatory for entry into the examination hall
Important Instructions for Candidates
- The re-exam will be held only at the original centres
- No change in exam city or date will be permitted
- Candidates must carry the revised admit card along with a valid photo ID
- This will be the only opportunity to appear for CTET 2026 Paper-II for the affected candidates
