The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the city intimation slips for the NIFT 2026 Stage-2 entrance examinations. This phase is critical for candidates who cleared the Stage-1 written exams and are now moving toward final selection.

Key Dates & Exam Schedule

  • ​City Slip Release Date: April 17, 2026
  • ​Stage-2 Exam Date: April 26, 2026
  • ​Admit Card Release: Expected 2–3 days before the exam (around April 23–24).
  • ​Final Results: Expected in May 2026.

Detailed Exam Pattern (Stage-2)

​The second stage is designed to test practical skills, creativity, and technical aptitude through various formats depending on the course:

1. Bachelor of Design (B.Des)

​The Situation Test is a hands-on examination where candidates are provided with specific materials to create a 3D model.

​Focus Areas: Material handling, innovative use of given items, space visualization, and overall finesse.

​Written Component: Candidates must write a brief explanation (in English) describing the concept behind their model.

​Weightage: The Situation Test holds a 20% weightage in the final merit list.

​2. B.F.Tech (Lateral Entry) & Others

For candidates applying through the NLEA (National Lateral Entry Admission) or specialized categories:

​Technical Ability Test (TAT): A specialized test to assess the technical knowledge required for fashion technology.

​Personal Interview: A face-to-face interaction to evaluate communication skills, career goals, and domain awareness.

​Artisan Category: Includes a specific Artisan Skill Test followed by an interview.

How to Download the City Slip

​Candidates can access their information via the official portal at exams.nta.nic.in/niftee.

​Click on the “NIFT 2026 Stage 2 City Intimation Slip” link.

​Log in using your Application Number and Date of Birth (or Password).

​View the allotted city and download the PDF for travel planning.

Important Guidelines for Candidates

​Not an Admit Card: The city slip is only for travel planning. It does not grant entry to the exam hall. You must carry the official Admit Card (to be released soon).

​No Copy Required: Candidates are not required to carry the city intimation slip to the exam center.

​Materials: For the B.Des Situation Test, all necessary materials will be provided at the center. Candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing their own materials
