NEET PG 2025 – Round 1 Counselling Schedule

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a revised schedule for the NEET PG 2025 counselling process. This schedule applies to admissions under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ), seats in Central and Deemed Universities, and other participating institutions. Candidates who qualified in NEET PG 2025 must follow the new dates carefully to avoid missing any important steps.

Choice Filling Starts on November 17

According to the revised timetable, choice filling for Round 1 will begin on November 17, 2025, and will continue until 11:55 PM on November 18, 2025. During this time, candidates must select their preferred medical colleges and PG courses from the options available to them.

Choice Locking on November 18

The choice locking facility will be available on November 18 from 4 PM to 11:55 PM. Candidates must ensure that their choices are locked within this time window. If they do not manually lock their choices, the system may auto-lock them after the deadline.

Round 1 Seat Allotment on November 20

MCC will announce the Round 1 seat allotment result on November 20, 2025. Candidates who are allotted a seat will need to report to their respective institutions within the time frame mentioned in the MCC guidelines.

Further Rounds

After Round 1, the counselling process will continue with additional rounds:

  • Round 2 seat allotment: December 10, 2025

  • Round 3 seat allotment: December 31, 2025

  • Stray vacancy round: To be conducted after Round 3

These rounds will allow candidates who were not allotted seats earlier, or who wish to upgrade, to participate further.

What Candidates Should Do Now

  • Ensure their MCC registration is complete.

  • Keep required documents ready for verification.

  • Fill and lock choices before the deadline.

  • Regularly check the MCC website for updates and notices.

The revised counselling timeline gives candidates a clear structure to follow, but the windows for each step are short. Students are advised to act promptly and keep track of all deadlines to secure admission to the PG programme of their choice.

BSEB Invites Applications for Free JEE & NEET Coaching for 2026–28 Batch

Students preparing for competitive exams under a government-supported initiative, symbolising equal access to quality education through science, medicine, and structured academic guidance.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has invited online applications for its free coaching programme for JEE (Main) and NEET aspirants for the 2026–28 academic batch. The initiative is aimed at providing quality coaching support to talented students, especially from economically weaker sections, to help them prepare for national-level engineering and medical entrance examinations.

Two Coaching Modes Offered

To ensure greater accessibility, BSEB has introduced two separate coaching schemes:

  • Residential Coaching Scheme:
Under this scheme, selected students will be provided free hostel accommodation, meals, classroom coaching, and study materials at designated centres. This option is meant for students who require a fully structured learning environment.

  • Non-Residential Coaching Scheme:
Students opting for this scheme will receive free classroom coaching and academic support while staying at their own residences. Hostel facilities will not be included, but study materials and mentoring will be provided.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who have passed or are appearing in Class 10 or Class 12 from a recognised board are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to students studying in government schools and those belonging to economically disadvantaged backgrounds, as per BSEB norms.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a screening/entrance examination conducted by BSEB. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in the test, and shortlisted candidates will be allotted seats according to availability and preference of coaching mode.

Facilities and Academic Support

The free coaching programme will offer:

  • Experienced faculty for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology

  • Regular mock tests and performance evaluations

  • Doubt-clearing sessions and mentoring

  • Competitive exam-oriented study material

Application Process

Eligible students can apply online through the official BSEB website. The board will soon release detailed notifications regarding important dates, examination pattern, counselling process, and final selection.

Strengthening Competitive Exam Preparation

The initiative reflects BSEB’s continued efforts to promote equal educational opportunities and reduce dependence on expensive private coaching institutes. By offering free, structured preparation for JEE and NEET, the board aims to empower deserving students from Bihar to compete at the national level.
