Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU), Muzaffarpur, has been officially nominated by the Governor’s Secretariat as the State Nodal University to conduct the Bihar B.Ed. Combined Entrance Test (CET-B.Ed. 2026). This pivotal state-level examination acts as the gateway for admissions into the Two-Year B.Ed. and Shiksha Shastri programmes across all universities in Bihar.

Important Dates at a Glance

  • Submission of Online Application Form: 27.04.2026 to 18.05.2026.

  • Online Application with Late Fee (Rs. 500/-): 19.05.2026 to 21.05.2026.

  • Editing in Application Form: 22.05.2026 to 23.05.2026.

  • Issue of Admit Card: 01.06.2026 Onwards.

  • Entrance Test Date: 07.06.2026 (Sunday).

  • Uploading of Answer Key: 08.06.2026.

  • Result Declaration: 19.06.2026 (Friday).


Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the minimum academic standards:

  • For B.Ed. Programme: Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in either a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) or Master’s Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, or Commerce.

  • For B.Tech/B.E. Graduates: Candidates with a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics must have at least 55% marks.

  • For Shiksha Shastri Programme: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as the main subject and a Master’s Degree/Acharya in traditional Sanskrit Shastra with a minimum of 50% marks.


Entrance Test Pattern & Qualifying Marks

  • Exam Format: The CET-B.Ed. 2026 is a two-hour examination consisting of 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions.

  • Marking Scheme: The maximum score is 120 marks, with each question carrying one mark. There is no negative marking in this examination.

  • Test Materials: Candidates must use only a blue or black ball pen to mark their answers on the provided OMR sheet.

  • Qualifying Marks: Unreserved category candidates must secure a minimum of 42 marks (35%) to qualify. Candidates from SC, ST, BC, EBC, WBC, EWS, and Divyaang categories require a minimum of 36 marks (30%).


Application Fee Structure

The application fee is strictly non-refundable and must be paid through an online payment gateway (Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI):

  • General/Unreserved Candidates: Rs. 1000/-.

  • Differently abled/EBC/BC/Women/EWS Candidates: Rs. 750/-.

  • SC/ST Category Candidates: Rs. 500/-.


Step-by-Step Guide to Apply Online

  1. Online Registration: Visit the official portal at https://biharcetbed-brabu.in/ to create your Login ID. Ensure you have an active personal email account and a 10-digit mobile number, as an OTP will be sent to both for validation.

  2. Fill the Application Form: Log in to your dashboard using your registered Email ID (which acts as your Login ID) and password. Carefully fill out your personal details, correspondence address, and educational information. For identity proof, you must enter your Aadhaar Number, Voter ID, Driving Licence, or Passport number.

  3. Upload Required Documents: You must upload a recent front-face color photograph and your signature (signed with a black ball pen on white paper). Both files must be in JPEG format and strictly under 100 KB in size. Furthermore, upload scanned copies of your Matriculation, Intermediate, Graduation, and Postgraduation (if applicable) mark sheets, alongside any necessary Domicile or Category certificates.

  4. Select Examination Centers: Choose your preferred three cities for the entrance exam from the provided list (Note: Darbhanga is the sole center for Shiksha Shastri applicants).

  5. Review and Pay: Review your application thoroughly. Once you click “Confirm,” no further edits can be made. Proceed to pay the online application fee.

  6. Print for Future Reference: After a successful transaction, take a printout of the completed application form and keep it secure. Do not send this printout to BRABU or any other office.
