SSC JE 2025 Registration Ends Today for 1,340 Vacancies; Apply Now at ssc.gov.in

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is closing the registration process for the Junior Engineer (JE) Examination 2025 today, July 21. Interested and eligible candidates who have not yet applied can visit the official website – ssc.gov.in – and complete their registration before the deadline ends at 11 PM. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,340 vacancies across various government departments and ministries.

The posts are available in disciplines like Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering in departments such as the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Border Roads Organization (BRO), Central Water Commission, Military Engineer Services (MES), Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, and others. Candidates must hold either a diploma or degree in engineering from a recognized institution to be eligible. The age limit varies between 18 to 32 years depending on the department, with relaxation for reserved categories as per government norms.

The application fee is ₹100 for General and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, PwD, and female applicants are exempted from paying the fee. Candidates can fill the online form by registering on the SSC website, filling in their details, uploading scanned documents, and making the fee payment. The commission will also open the application correction window on July 24 and 25 for those needing to make changes to their forms.

The selection process for SSC JE 2025 includes two papers – Paper 1 (Computer-Based Objective Test) and Paper 2 (Conventional Written Test), followed by document verification. Paper 1 is expected to be held in October 2025. Candidates are strongly advised to complete their applications without delay to avoid last-minute technical issues and keep a printout of the application form for future reference.
