UGC NET 2025 Results to Be Declared on July 22: NTA Confirms Official Date

After weeks of anticipation, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced that the UGC NET June 2025 results will be released on July 22. This update comes as a relief to thousands of candidates across the country who have been waiting anxiously for their scorecards.
The announcement followed protests by student groups, including a demonstration outside the NTA office by JNU students demanding timely results and more transparency.
About the Exam
The UGC NET June 2025 exam was conducted in online mode from June 25 to June 29, covering 83 subjects. The test determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in Indian colleges and universities.
NTA had released the provisional answer key on July 5, and candidates were allowed to raise objections till July 8.
How to Check Your Result
On July 22, candidates can follow these steps:
1. Visit: ugcnet.nta.ac.in
2. Click on “UGC NET June 2025 Result”
3. Log in using your Application Number and Date of Birth
4. Download and save your scorecard
The scorecard will show subject-wise marks, percentiles, and qualifying status (JRF or Assistant Professor).
Qualifying Marks
To clear the exam:
General/EWS: Minimum 40% aggregate
OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD: Minimum 35% aggregate
Subject-wise cut-offs will also be released along with the results.
The delay in results sparked concern among students. The protest led by JNU students highlighted the need for timely academic updates. Responding to the pressure, NTA finally confirmed the release date, reassuring aspirants across the country.

Successful candidates will receive digital e-certificates and JRF award letters via the NTA portal. These are crucial for applying to PhD programs, fellowships, and faculty recruitment.
